DFC’s mission is to actively serve the community by providing services that contribute to the health and vitality of the greater Dubrovnik region. The organization’s goal is to promote friendship and understanding between its members and the Dubrovnik community at large by organizing cultural and social events and by giving back to the community in which we live. The DFC engages in fund raising activities for the benefit of its community projects.

In 2009 the Circle organized a very successful bake sale and a very well received Christmas party for our members and local friends. We hope the latter will become an established event on the Dubrovnik calendar. Raised funds are allocated to the Dubrovnik Children’s International Library, founded and structured by our organization. For more information please visit our Community Projects page.

DFC consists of an international group of people (including many young families) who live in the Dubrovnik area full or part time. English is the organization’s common language of communication.

Activities and events are proposed by the Board and presented to the General Membership. We are trying to offer a range of activities based on our members’ interests and life style:  picnics, kayaking, wine tastings, nature walks, hikes and more.

Current additional permanent activities:

  • The DFC Library located in the roof chapel of the Hotel Pucić Palace. The library currently holds about 800 English and Foreign language books and is available to all members and locals

  • Weekly Croatian classes

  • Monthly Book Club

All activities are organized by members. We are hoping to add many more monthly and permanent activities and encourage you to join us whether you are living permanently in Dubrovnik or whether you are planning a move to our town in the near future.
